To install the Guardian 4.0 app on your iOS device, you will need an account with GARS and to be enrolled in the GARS app distribution system.
- To activate your GARS account, contact your admin at support@gravick.com and request an account opening. Note: include your full name, e-mail, and phone number.
- The administrator will follow up with the request for you to be enrolled in the Guardian 4.0 distribution.
Once the account is approved and opened, you will receive e-mail with details on how to log I to your Connect account, and how to install the Guardian 4.0 on your iPhone device, including passcode.
Important Note: Make sure you have the latest version of iOS installed on your iPhone device and an active Internet or Wi-Fi connection.
Guardian 4.0 Installation (from e-mail link)
Once the administrator enrolls your account and device into the GARS system, you will receive installation instructions via email, including the installation URL, username, and passcode.
You will also receive a text message with the Device Enrollment URL (the passcode is only in the e-mail).
Installing Guardian 4.0 on your device
1. On your iPhone device, click on the Device Enrollment URL. The system will start the installation process and guide you through the specific steps.
2. On the Authenticate page (fig 1) enter the passcode you have received in the e-mail and text message and click Continue.
3. On the next page, our instructions will guide you through the Installation Steps (fig 2). (Step 1: Accept Terms, Step 2: Download & Install Profile, Step 3: Install Apps).
Click Continue.
4. The MDM Profile download will begin (Fig 3). After downloading the Profile, a notice will appear on a new page.
5. Your iPhone Settings will prompt you to install the profile (Fig 5).
6. Head to your iPhone device Settings > General > VPN & Device Management section (Fig 6). Click on the MaaS360 MDM Enrollment section. You will be taken to the installation page for the MDM Profile (Fig 7).
7. Click Install in the top right corner. An installation prompt will appear; click Install (Fig 8).
8. You will receive a warning prompt about admin access to your data. Click Install (Fig 9).
9. You will receive a request to trust the profile source (Fig 10), so click Trust.
10. After installing the MDM Profile on your device, we will take you to the confirmation page (Fig 11). Click Done in the top right corner.
11. Return to the default browser to finish the installation (Fig 12).
Note: You will see prompts to install the applications (depending on your version of the iOS). Accept the prompts and follow the instructions.
12. After successful MDM Profile installation you will receive confirmation e-mail.
13. The GARSAppCatalog application will be installed on your iPhone device (Fig 13). Open it.
14. You will see two applications, the IBM MaaS360 and the Guardian 4 (Fig 14). Click Get next to both applications.
15. App Installation prompt will appear (once for each application) (Fig 15), click Install every time you see the prompt.
16. Both applications, the IBM MaaS360 and the Guardian 4 will be installed on your iPhone device (Fig 16).
Important Note: Depending on the deployment server load and the speed of your Internet or Wi-Fi connection, it might take 5-10 minutes before the actual installation starts.

Guardian 4.0 Installation (from SMS/text link)
If you've given your phone number to the Support Admin, you'll get installation instructions and a passcode via text.
1. Click on the link in the text message.
2. Follow the provided instructions in the steps described above.
